Parkcity Beach Toernooi: Informatie en Evenementen in de Regio

Het Parkcity Beach Toernooi is een evenement dat, samen met andere lokale activiteiten, bijdraagt aan de levendigheid en gemeenschapszin in de regio. Dit artikel biedt informatie over het toernooi zelf, maar ook over andere evenementen en wetenswaardigheden in de omgeving.

Volleybalnieuws en Verenigingsleven

Het volleybalseizoen voor de heren was dit jaar relatief kort. In tegenstelling tot vorig jaar werden alleen de reguliere wedstrijden gespeeld. Er was geen anderhalve competitie, omdat er maar weinig ploegen in deze klasse zijn.

Goed nieuws is dat er inmiddels een nieuwe voorzitter is gevonden voor de volleybalvereniging. Raimond Severens heeft zich beschikbaar gesteld en is unaniem gekozen door de leden. Dit volgt op het trieste nieuws van het overlijden van de vorige voorzitter, Jos Koken, afgelopen weekend.

Zowel het herenteam als het damesteam van VVS draaien mee in de midweekcompetitie. Dames en heren die op een leuk niveau willen volleyballen en niet meer op zaterdag wedstrijden willen spelen, zijn bij VVS altijd welkom. De teams trainen elke woensdag van 20.00 tot 22.00 uur in sporthal Baneberg. Het seizoen verliep voor de heren met ups en downs, mede door de vele opstellingsvarianten. Er zitten veel heren in het team, wat enerzijds positief is, maar anderzijds is het moeilijk om iedereen voldoende speeltijd te geven.

Terugblik op het Toernooi

Het toernooi was wederom een succes. Iedereen vond het weer super gezellig en strak georganiseerd.

• Sjminke in A gene Bek: De zalen zijn geopend voor groepen om zich te sjminke, met gratis Spek & Ei en veel muziek.
• Scholierencarnaval in “A gene Bek”: Hossen en springen voor de jeugd, met prijzen voor de beste verklede kids.
• Presentatie over paddestoelen: Marcel Bruinooge geeft een presentatie over paddestoelen.
• Kerstmarkt: Een gezellig begin van de kerstperiode.
• Kienavond: De supportersvereniging organiseert een kienavond met aantrekkelijke prijzen.
• Kerstwandeling: Een traditionele wandeling op 2e kerstdag, met erwtensoep na afloop.
• Herrenzietsung: Een gevarieerd programma met artiesten en verrassingen.
• Koningsdag: Fietsen versieren en in optocht naar het centrum.
• Lentewandeltocht Ubachsberg: Een wandeltocht rond de molen Vrouwenheide.
• Vogelsafari Heerlen centrum: Uitzoeken welke vogels er in de stad voorkomen en hoe de stad aantrekkelijker gemaakt kan worden voor vogels.
• Wandeling door de holle weg van Welten richting Ubachsberg: Onder leiding van Noor Föllings, met aandacht voor geologie en landschapsvormen.
• Lezing over de vleermuis: Alles over het leven van de vleermuizen in Limburg.
• Vleermuisexcursie: Met de batdetector op zoek naar vleermuizen in de omgeving.
• BIZAR XXL: Een 16+ jongerenconcept met urban artiesten.
• Openlucht Bioscoop: Een film kijken op het Bekkerveld, eigen stoel en kleed meenemen.
• Vlinderavond: Een wandeling met Marcel Prick, dé vlinderexpert, om nachtvlinders te spotten.
• Lezing over de egel: Informatie over het leven van de egel en hoe we hem kunnen helpen.
• Burlende edelherten in Limburg: Een wandeling door de Weerterbossen om edelherten te spotten.

Golden Earring Geschiedenis: Een Terugblik

• 2005: The new single release was scheduled: I've Just Lost Somebody acoustic live recorded during the Naked III sessions. This was part one of the cdsingle. The cd-single contained the extra tracks Twilight Zone () Johnny Make Believe ().
• 2005: Today the sadly deceased Golden Earring fan Louise Donk was cremated at Uden Crematorium. At her cremation the newest 2004 Naked III version of the song I've Just Lost Somebody was played. This song is dedicated to Louise Donk by the bandmembers. Louise got killed in a car accident due to useless violence. The cdsingle was especially sent in advance by Universal Music to the family of Louise to make sure the song could be played at her memorial service.
• 2005: Rinus Gerritsen and Barry Hay did play a set during The Clarks concert at the Westwood, The Hague. Normally Cesar Zuiderwijk would have been there too to play along, but as mentioned Cesar did perform Saturday evening January 15 at the end of the Ready 2 Play night at Musicon Music centre The Hague.
• 2005: The fine news that the Golden Earring bandmembers gave permission to dedicate the new single I've Just Lost Somebody to fan Louise Donk was mentioned in a press release.
• 2005: During the broadcast of the "Doodnormaal" tv program with Barry Hay in 2005 some youngsters threw a brick from an A4 motorway overpass. The stone hit the front window of the car of Golden Earring fan Louise Donk. Soon afterwards she died in hospital due to her injuries. We sadly miss her. Gone, but not forgotten!
• 2005: During the "Veronica's Top 1000 aller tijden" program on tv today, there was an item about Golden Earring in the Veronica Hall of fame.

• 2011: Concert in Gouda - Goudse Schouwburg, show was cancelled due to voice problems George Kooymans.

Lida was physically disabled but was nevertheless seen at many Golden Earring shows and related occasions in her wheelchair accompagnied by her husband Jaco. Due to ALS disease from George Kooymans the band called it's quits on February 06 2021. This show was later on released on cd, dvd and lp titled You Know We Love You Ahoy Live 2019.
• 2020: Say When\Back Home (2019 Remastered version) vinyl single release on the Music On Vinyl label.

• 2023: Originally planned release date for the 2023 Kooymans and Carillo vinyl single release Seasons\August Moon (Catalogue info Music On Vinyl MOV7065). The single itself was only released on digital media like Spotify, the vinyl single release was re-scheduled to February 10 2023. The track August Moon is a non-album bonustrack.

Extra informatie over Golden Earring

De auteur van de dagelijkse berichten over Golden Earring heeft in de loop der jaren veel informatie verzameld over de band. Hij begon met informatie online over optredens en evenementen vanaf 2000 tot nu. In 2007-2008 werd deze informatie uitgebreid met eerdere jaren, wanneer hij de kans kreeg. Het is een groot project en het kost tijd, maar hij probeert allerlei informatie op te nemen, zoals radio- en tv-uitzendingen, concerten, hitinformatie, verjaardagen en andere speciale evenementen. Het is belangrijk om te weten dat tot 1992 alleen elektrische shows werden gegeven, vanaf 1992 werden ook akoestische optredens gedaan. De lijst is nog niet compleet vanwege de hoeveelheid werk en een gebrek aan tijd.
